The TLA Library Technologies Roundtable (formerly ERM Roundtable) is hosting a paper competition for the Spring TLA Conference in Memphis. The topic for the competition is: “What Did You Learn? Failed Technology Experiments in Library User Experience.”
Often in library literature we focus on the successes in innovative and emerging technologies, but fail to discuss the failed experiments. This paper series will encourage the discussion of technology implementations that you have tried, but found to not be successful. The definition of technology is up to you, and can vary from library to library.
If you wish to compete, please submit abstract entries to http://www.tnla.org/?2015Proposals by OCTOBER 17th and notify Cody Behles of your intent to compete in the contest. Participants will present at TLA 2014. Participation is not limited to TLA members.
The prize, a $50.00 Sparkfun Gift Certificate, will be rewarded after the competition.
